intermediate hours to be employed. When this is compared with the duties of all other civil servants who are only required to work from 10 till 4 without any of the risk the Surveyor encounters, I trust His Excellency will see the justice of my claims, first having at the present moment to undertake the duties and bear all the responsibility of the Surveyor General's department, and secondly, if my appointment as Assistant Surveyor be confirmed, to request a recommendation for an increase of salary for my favor.
