I have the honour to inform Your Lordships that as no payment of Salary fell due between the date of my arrival in the Colony, and that of Mr. Gordon, the Surveyor General's departure on sick Certificate for England, I have not had an opportunity of deducting the sum £11, 5, 6, the amount of the fee and the stamp duty payable on the Warrant appointing him to the office he holds, which was to be remitted to Mr. Smith, the Chief Clerk of your Office, agreeably to the Instructions
