I have the honor to forward to Your Excellency a statement, of the number of cases under Medical treatment, among the Officers in the Civil Department of Government, the Police, Prisoners, and others who have come under my Care as Colonial Surgeon, from the 17 January to the 31st May, 1844.
This statement, Your Excellency is aware, commences in the healthiest months in the year, and ends before what is usually termed the sickly Season begins, and yet the amount of sickness has been gradually increasing, His Excellency.
