The pressing wants of this community in regard to Church accommodation induce me to offer some observations to Your Lordships with reference to that point. The English inhabitants reject a mere shed, while the Roman Catholics have already provided themselves with a spacious Church.

I regret, that the continued illness of Mr. Cantore, the Colonial Clergyman (whose duty is at present performed by the Naval Chaplains), has made it impossible for him to be with me on the subject of a church since my arrival. I have however, communicated with
