I hereby Certify that A. D. Gordon Gryts suffered during the months of September and October last (1843) an attack of

a severe Fever from which his recovery was very imperfect! and that to the best of my belief, had not the cold weather of the winter months supervened, it would have been absolutely necessary for him to have left for a change of climate before this time.

I also certify that he has had an attack of Fever which has affected his constitution so much that I consider he could not remain here during the ensuing hot season with any
