With reference to Your Lordship's Despatch No 39 of the 24th of February last forwarding the copy of a letter from Mrs Hlade, and requesting me
to obtain information relative to the death of her brother, I have the honor to transmit to Your Lordship the Copy of
an answer to my inquiries, from Messrs Jardine Matheson & Co, who are possessed of all the particulars relating to Mr John Gladis Bath and his affairs, and who it appears have already written to the friends of the deceased on the subject.
