My Lord,

Previous to the arrival of

the Chief Justice and Attorney General,

and to the commencement of

their functions, it becomes absolutely necessary

to provide a temporary Court House, for want

of which Sir H. Pottinger was

obliged lately to hold his Court

in one of the rooms of his residence

by the verandah.

I have accordingly determined, on

the advice of the Executive Council, that pending the receipt of Authority from Your Lordship

as to the construction of a Town Hall and
