Sir,

As Circumstances may lead Her Majesty's Government to suppose that the original land holders in this Colony are urging unreasonable claims;

We deem it advisable to state as briefly as possible to you that the present form of Lease would be considered by us satisfactory, provided a clause was introduced securing buildings in perpetuity - but stipulating that at the expiration of every successive period of seventy-five years, the Ground Rents should be altered in accordance with
