I have the honor to acknowledge

the receipt of your communication of the 20th Instant (with its several Enclosures;) relative to the temporary

occupation, for naval purposes, of certain spot of ground within the limits of Victoria Crown by the officers of the Middle Store I beg leave to inform you

that instructions whatever have reached me

in any manner referring to that subject indeed it is impossible they should have done so - as Sir William

Parker, in a private note written from
