I have the honor to acknowledge
the receipt of your letter No 56 of the 2nd Instant directing me to prepare a
Estimate
of all sums already expended on public works, and also of the sums which will probably be required
during the Current year, I now enclose for the information of His Excellency the
Governor in Council, a statement
shewing the disbursements from the 1st of June 1841 up to the 31st of last month and under whose superintendence the ... expenditure was incurred - also an Estimate shewing the probable expence
of works during the Current and
