I am directed by His Excellency the Governor in Council to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of yesterday's date giving cover to the original letter from Lieutenant Colonel Gregory to the address of the Honorable Major General D'Aquilar regarding the necessity for a European Police Station at Chuk Chow.
In reply, I am directed to acquaint you that Government have at this moment under its consideration a plan for forming an efficient Police for every part of the Colony, and that in the meantime and until that plan is matured and carried into effect, Captain D'Aguilar...
