My Lords,
With reference to the measure lately authorized by Your Lordships for establishing Southampton, instead of Falmouth, as the port of departure for the West India and other Mail Packets I beg leave to be informed
whether it has been decided that More packets shall be despatched from Southampton on the arrival at that port of the Night Mail from London, or whether it is proposed to detain them until the arrival of the Morning Mail.
I beg to state that I
am of opinion the most desirable course will be to dispatch the Packets
