Save directed &
I am directed to acquaint you, for the information of the Right Honorable the Earl of Aberdeen, in reply to your letter of the 26 ultimo, enclosing a communication addressed to the Under Secretary of State, relative to the establishment of a Post Office at Hongkong. To that inquiry Lord Stanley has returned the answer contained in his letter, which I have the honor to state for the information of the Lords Commissioners, that in Lord Stanley's opinion there can be no doubt as to the expediency of establishing a Post Office in Hong Kong as early as possible.
