acknowledge the receipt of your Excellency's letter No. 116

30th of last Month with its various Enclosures, received from Captain Chads.

It is almost superfluous
to tell your Excellency,
that I do not attach the
smallest imaginable degree of
Credence to the rumours
which Captain Chads alludes to, as to the Junks said to
be
assembled at Ship's being
National Force"; and on
his information being very
