M: Cushing, United States Commissioner to China, instead of proceeding, as it had been intended he should do, to England, has sailed direct for the Mediterranean in the United States Steam Frigate "Missouri". This Ship will convey M: Cushing to Alexandria, from whence he will continue his journey overland to India, and will finally proceed to China, from some Port in India, on board of the United States Frigate, "Brandywine". The "Missouri" left Norfolk in Virginia, for sea, on the 5th instant.
The "Missouri" will, I believe, be the first American Steam Vessel of War that has appeared upon a Foreign Station.
