Po. Asefes, as fisherman, living in beat frequenting Shau Tsz Wan, was out fishing in the morning of the 6th of March, between 12 and 4 o'clock, my friend's junk, another in best, and anchored close to that in the bay of Sha Wan. I heard from my friend say to Mong Nei, "let us go somewhere else to fish." About an hour after this, I heard a disturbance about 190 cubits distant and on looking, recognised Yoong Fook's junk, and another boat alongside it.
I saw that there was fighting on board. I could not recognise them, but I distinctly heard Low's voice and another voice say, "Bring some rope, and a water jar." I then heard them say, "Fasten it with a stone." I heard nothing until about half an hour afterwards, when I heard a splash in the water. The disturbance on board the boat lasted about an hour.
But about 8 o'clock on the morning of the 8th of April, I saw a body floating, and went in search of Mong Nei and told Yoong Fook's brother, Yoong Ip, to kill some fish and see if he could identify it as his brother's. He identified it immediately. I had previously, on the day after the disturbance, gone to Yoong Ip's, but could not find him. I also saw blood and a rope in the boat the day after the fight.
I do not know how long they lived together afterwards. On the day after the disturbance, I went to another place to catch fish, and though I was still near Sha Wan, did not see them afterwards.
