11. P.M., the Examination on Monday.

&journed until 11 A.M. Monday 18 September 1848.

The Prisoner, and Witness for prosecution being now in attendance, the Examination is resumed.

Witness is questioned by the Chief Magistrate.

Question. – How could you not report the fact of the murder to the British Authorities here?

Answer. – I did not like to report upon my elder brother, when I found him at Samition, which is near the Sunon District. I therefore thought it proper to lay accusation there.

Question. – You say that you found the Body on the 8th April; – that you immediately sought your elder brother, and expended 53 days in the search. How is it then that you were in thai on the 25th April?

Answer. – After having searched for my brother at several places, I returned to the 23rd of April. Again I started in search of him on the 24th April, and did not arrive at Phais-won until the 17th June, when I had found my brother.

Question. – When did you first see your brother after the murder?

Answer. – On the 17th June.
