P.S. I send herewith copies of the Memoranda I have received from John "Johnston" and Gordon relative to their visit to Chu Chi. I find, on inquiry, that Mr Johnston was prevented by indisposition from attending on the occasion when the lines were defined, but he received a copy of the plan of them, the original of which he understood to be in the Quarter Master General's Office.
