I called for the reply (even had that reply been grounded in fact) which His Lordship made on the 3rd of that month, and for the reasons stated in my further letter of the 30th Aug. in answer to His Lordship's of the 5th of August.
I can only respectfully trust that Her Majesty's Government will forgive any unintentional warmth of expression that may be discovered in my letters, and will likewise pardon me for this trespass on their attention.
