superannuation act is to be applied to the civil servants at Hong Kong, it must apply to them all, with the exception of the Governor, his personal staff, & any foreigners who may be employed there - Yo established, when official salaries must be subject to the deductions prescribed by the 27 section of the statute of which I enclose a copy) of the 4th & 25th/h 10. ch. 24. In assigning pensions to superannuated public servants, no time is counted in respect of service in respect of which such deduction have not been made. Consequently, if any person serving at Hong Kong should wish to have the benefit of the superannuation act in respect of any antecedent term of service a statement should be immediately transmitted to me in detail, of such preceding services in order that they may be charged with any excess of contribution which may be found due to them.
