HONGKONG SHARE QUOTATIONS.

TEA.-The season has not yet properly opened and no tess from the best districts are to hand- The market is expected to become active from about the 15th inst. Copper.- The rise of Lon- don values since the 6th inst. has caused a lively business, and large transaction have transpired. MARINE INSURANCE.-With the exception of a small sale of Cantons at 197 we have no business nor changes to report under this beading. → FIRE INSURANCES.-Hongkongs have been placed at 345, and Chinas have improved to 110 with buyers.

SHIPPING. Hongkong, Canton and Macaos have ruled firm «nd a demand at 314 meeting with no respose the market closes with buyers at 32. Inds have been enqu red for daring the week at 78/74 for the combined issues; the mok t howev is a very res rioted on-, and but little busi es has resulted. The latest Lon- on rate is £7 for th combined shares, and Sha gai's closing rate is Tis 55. Star Ferrys. bave continued in d-mand, and the rate has improved to 27 (old) and 16 (new) with buyers And no business to report. Theils have advanced to 6/9 with buyers, while the last London quotation is 61,9.

REFINERIES. China Sugars have ruled rather quieter and after further small sales at 145 close with some small sellers at that rate. Luzons remain n. glo‘ed. Peraks have im- prove in the North to 260 after touching 275.

MINING.-Raubs after some small sales in the early part of the week at have ruled weaker and sales were affected at 94 and 9, the market closing with buy-rs at 94 and sollers at 94. Chinese Engi e-rings are enquired for in he North at Tis. 71, 18, but shares are scarce nd we have heard of no business. Charbouages emain unchanged.

DOCKS, WHARVES AND GODOWNS.-Hong- kong and Whampoa Docks with an unsatified demand at 624 have improved to 68 with bu ers fters les at65, 67. 68, and reported 7. At time f olesing some shares are obtainable at 69, nd probably at 68. Kowloon Wharfs conti- nue in demand and the rate has ris-a to 59 with Shares buyers after some sales at 58 and 584.
