I have the honor to forward a Copy of a letter No. 187 which I have this day addressed to Lord Napier regarding the ground required for a Military Cantonment near "West Point Barracks,
and to suggest that Your Excellency will be pleased to communicate with Lord Napier and the Land Officer on the subject of the ground that the Admiral wishes to have appropriated.
