Straw Braid.-There has been more enquiry dur- ing the past fortnight, and prices ruled firmer with upward tendency toward the end of the period under review. HONGKONG SHARE QUOTATIONS.
HONGKONG, 13th November, 1908.-Very little change has taken place in the general condition of our market during the past week, and with a few exceptions rates remain mach as last quoted. Batsilver is quoted in London at 23 d., and sterling T.T. locally at 1/8g. The T.T. rate on Shanghai hiss declined to 751.
BANKS.-Hongkong and Shangbais bave farther strengthened, and are now in strong request at 8815. London has advanced to £81. 10. 0. Nations are without shange at $51 buyers.
MARINE INSURANCES. Unions continue firm with small sales and further buvers at $785. North Chinas have improved to Tls. 87) and Cantons to $180. China Traders and Hangtazes are unchanged and without local business."
FIBE INSURANCES.-Hongkong are easier with sellers at $330. Chinas are still in request at $98, but holders are not tempted by the rate offered.

DOCKS, WHARVES AND GODOWNS.-Hong kong and Whampoa Dooks have been booked at $921 $92, and closing with sellers at the biger rate. Kowloon Wharves, after siles at $47, 846 and $45, close with sellers at $46. Shanghai Docks have declined in the North to Th. 81 sellers. Shanghai and Hongkow Wharves are practically unchanged at Tis. 153.
