HONGKONG SHARE QUOTATIONS.
HONGKONG, 30th October, 1908.—Very little business has been transacted during the past week, and there are no alterations of importance in quotations to report.
BANKS.-The market closes steady at $810, with small s∙les and probable buyers at the rate. London is slightly firmer at £80. 58. Od. .
MARINE INSURANCES.-Unions have been booked at $785, and North Chinas at Tls. 85. There are buyers of Cintons at $175, and of Yangtzzes at $160,
FIRM INSURANCES.-Hongkongs are pro- ourable at $335, after a small sale privately at the rate. China's have advanced to $98 with buyers.
SHIPPING.—A sale of Hongkong, Canton and Macars at $284 is reported and there are further buyers at this figare. Other quotations in this section are unchanged, and there is no business to reported.
Refineries. —China Sagars are easier with sellers at $115; and Luzens csn still be procured at $22.
MINING.-No business is reported, and quot- ations are without change.
DOCKS, WHARves and Godowns-Hong. kong and Whampoa Docks have been booked at $99 and more shares are on offer. Kowloon Wharves are procurable at $49, and Shanghai Dooks at Tls. 82. Shanghai and Horgkew Wharves are firmer in the North with buyers at Tls. 153.
