Messrs. J. P. Bisset & Co. in their Share Report for the week ending 4th June, state:- The week under review has not been distinguished for any special volume of business in any parti- cular stock, and has in fact shown a falling of ast compared with the previous two or three weeks. Cash shares have changed hands at from Tis. 87 to Tls. 89, and the market closed on the 2nd instant, with buyers for July at Tls, 90. Shanghai and Hongkew Wharves. We have to report a slight improvement during the week, and the market opened with cash transactions at Tis. 226 and for June at Tls. 227. A continued demand for June commitments eventually carried the rate to Tls, 2284 for cash, while for June transactions are reported at Tls 228, Tls. 222, Tls. 230 and Tis. 231, closing with buyers. For September a sale is recorded at Tis. 229, Sugar Companies. No transactions reported this week. Mining. No business. Lands--Shanghai Lands have slightly receded from Tls, 120, to Tls. 118. Anglo-French Lands have been placed at Tls. 100. Industrial-Cottons: There is no business re- ported. Shanghai Gas Co: There are sellers at Tls. 109. Major Bros. have changed hands at Tls. 45, and there are further buyers, Shanghai Pulp and Paper Co: Shares have been dealt in at Tls. 47. Maatschappij, &c., in Langkats: In the early part of the week had a smart decline to Tls. 510 for cash and Tls, 515 for June. On the
