Messrs. Wilks and Jack, Lid, have just received notification from the Government that their tender for complete electric lighting plant and wiring for Tytam Tak Pumping Station has been acceptel. They are supplying a steam dynamo set manufactured by the well known British firm of W. H. Allen Son & Co Bedford, for whom they are sole agents.

Rear Admiral C Tamari, the Captai · and Officers of the Imperial Japanese South China Squadron invited à considerable number of re- sidents of the Colony on New Year's Day tɔao "At Home" on the cruiser "Naniwa."
