N. B. The Pelican sloop, ordered to China from Lisbon on 12 June 1841; the Camelion brig, and Clio sloop, from Brazil on 8 June 1841, and the Wanderer sloop, from the Cape of Good Hope on 7 January 1842.

The Plover surveying vessel, and Royalist brig, were purchased in the East Indies; the former, on the 23d May, and the latter on the 11th July 1841, for service on the Coast of China; and the Childers sloop arrived in China on the 29th May 1842 from Moulmein, having been relieved there by the Syren sloop, which sailed from England in November 1841, as above stated.
