I have now the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your Lordship's dispatch No. 10 of the 5th inst., relative to the For Lordship's Pension Fund, and to express my opinion that it was wise and right to spare the City of Canton in the month of March.
Justice, has afforded me great Satisfaction. The immediate practical results of that policy have been the dispatch of upwards of 20,000 Tons of British Shipping here at an enormous Expense,
