CHINA OVERLAND TRADE REPORT.

Kiyae (Green)—Prices asked check business. Animal:-No stocks.

Strawbraid.There is a steady demand for Loyeb White and Tuscan, and prices remain unchanged. Yangshen, Fiukiu and Shingkee white are also asked for, but supplies | are wanting. Split remains firm except extreme coarse ends, which are offered at lower prices. Goatskin Rugs.-Market is almost bare of stocks. Wool.-Sheep's.-A large business has been done, and the market is now quiet, as stocks are small, and prices higher. Camels'.-There is a good demand without any change in prices. Wood Oil.-Prices asked by the Chinese dealers are somewhat higher and make business impossible at present. Antimony.-Stocks are small, and prices are unchanged.

Messrs. Arnhold, Karberg & Co.'s Fortnightly Produce Circular, dated Shanghai, 4th March, 1907, states:- Gallnuts.-No transactions have been reported, and the market remains unchanged. On account of the small stocks Chinese dedera are not inclined to give way in prices to meet home orders. Cowhides.-Chinese continue ask- ing exceedingly high prices, which make business with home impossible at present. The market remains firm. Tobacco.-There are suitable for export. Feathers-Demand tinues and prices are firmer for all descriptions. Cotton.-A few transactions have been made at full prices, and the market remains firm on account of small supplies. FIRE INSURANCES. Both Hongkongs and Chinas have ruled neglected, the former with small sales and sellers at $342), and the latter with sellers at 890.

SHIPPING.-Sales of Hongkong, Canton and Macsos have been made at $29), the market. closing with sellers at $30. Indos continue neglected at the nominal rate of $83, Shanghai quoting Tla. 60 sellers. China Manilas have declined to $18 or the dividend of $1 paid on the 13tà instant. Douglases have declined

to $35 without sales. Shells, after a fall to 40%. with small sales at that rate and later at 41s. and 41/6. close in demand at 42/6 without bringing any shares on the market. Star Ferries remain without business.

REFINERIES.-China Sugars have farther declined to $118, with small sales at that rate and at $120 for June, the market closing with cash sellers at $119. Lusons unchanged and without business.

MINING Raubs were in a small demand in the early part of the week at $8.15 to 381, but the rate failed to be maintained and at time of closing shares are obtainable at 394. Charbon- ages unchanged and without business.

DOCKS, WHARves and Godowns.— Hoog- kong and Whampoa Docks have further de- clined to $130 with small sales, ciosing with probable buyers at that rate. Kowloon Wharves contione dall at 893, and without any business to report. Shanghai Dooks show . further drop to Tls. 105 with sellers, both locally and in Shangbal. Hongkew Wharves have ruled firmer in Shanghai and sales have been made at from Tla 231 to Tla. 234 er new issue; the latest advices from Shanghai quote the market quiet, with nothing doing at 8244 cum new issue.

LANDS, HOTEla and BuildINGS, —Hong. kong Lands continus steady to strong with small sales and further buyers at $107. Kow. loon Lands are wanted at $37). Humphreys have changed hands at $11.20 and 8111, olowing with sellers at the latter rafe, West Points and Hotels continue neglected with sellers at quotations.

COTTON MILLS.—The latest quotations from Shanghai give Ewos at 74, Internationals at 68, and Laou Kung Mows at 105. Hongkongu have been placed locally at 12.

MISCELLANEOUS.-China Providents bare been placed at $9), and more are wanted at the rate. Naies of Green Islands are reported at $194 and $20, but at time of closing there are Lo sollers under the latter rate. Electrise baru eben placed at $15.90, Ropes at $21 & $22, Steam Waterboats at $6, the last closing with buyers $9.20p at a little better rate. Watsons have been sold $49.50) | at $12.15 and 124, slowing stondy at the latter $14.
