Notwithstanding recent large additions to THE DIRECTORY AND CHRONICLE their plant both factories have senin ben kept working at full pressure throughout the year, Oning to exchange being against us, the profit on sales was greatly reduced, but on the other hand the turnover was considerably larger than that of the previons year.

CONSULTING COMMITTEE.

Le Hou. C. W. Dickson having left the Colony, the Hon. W. J. Gresson was invited to take bis place on the Consulting Committee. In accordance with the Articles of Association, Sir Paul Chater, C.M.G., the Hon. W. J. Gresson and Dr. J. W oble retire, but being eligible, offer themselves for re election.

AUDITUR&

The Directory and Cronicle for 1907 is now obtainable from the agents of the Hongkong Daily Press thronghout the Far East. The work is so familiar to every busines- mat in all the centres of foreign trade from Vladivostook to Netherlands India that we have little need to
