"Conselho da Provincia." Does the Leal ¦ Senado really need the money! If so, why not stop remitting thonsaads of pounds sterling yearly to Portugal and also the large remit tances which are continually being sent to Timor? Why not spare this money for the benefit of Macao, which raises it ?

LAWYERS,
Julgment was delivered on November 7th in the Kobe Chiho Saibansho in the action brought by C. D. Wilkinson, solicitor of Hong- kour, and E. J. Grist, solicitor, also of Hong- kong. against J. Clifford Wilkinson, mineral water manufacturer of Kobe for the recovery of remuneration for services rendered, &c., amount- ing to Y231, together with interest at the rate of per cent per annum. The claim of the plaintiffs was dismissed with costs.
