Norman King and Cotswold came neck and neck up the straight at the gallop, the latter horse passing the judge's stand about a length ahead of Norman King, amidst enthusiastic cheering, while Halifax ran a bad third. The winner, as he rode past His Excellency's staud, was loudly cheered for his excellent race, and greeted with shonts of "Well done; Well done." Time 3.27 2/5.

Passing the stand for the first time the order was Mick, Policy, the Loafer, Blackbird, The Gem Rose, with K.O.S.B, Mick continued to bringing up the rear. lead up the back stretch, when Blackbird drow out from the field into third place. Towards the rook Mick and Policy went neck and neck, Nearing the village Policy fell behind and Prairie King jumped into second place, in front of Blackbird. This was the order entering the straight. (Mr. Cruickshank) Empress of India Rose took the lead st first, with Norman King second and Ledbury Norman King held a fine position third.
The order was the same at the rails, passing the stand and around to the football pavilion, when Norman King gained somewhat on the leader and Halifax drew into third place. The Rose continued in front going up the incline, the ponies then being very lose to- gether. Shortly before reaching the village Norman King took the first place, and when entering the straight had left the field fully thres lengths behind, Cascade was then second, a little in front of Empress of India Rose. Halifax took third place. Norman King won hands down` by about six lengths, Halifax and Cascade fighting hard for second place. Many thought that it was a dead heat, but the judge decided that Halifax was slightly, a nose, in front of Cascade. Time: 2 min. 54 sec. Pari Mutual : Norman King, $7.3); Halifax, $9.80; dividend, 0$8.70.
