HONGKONG, 26th February, 1904.---Owing to 12.50 the Race holidays, business during the past week has been practically at a standstill, and tere is but little of interest to report. The general tone of our market is still weak, and 118.00 selling quotations predominate.

MARINE INSURANCES.-China Traders are weaker with sellers at $54. Other quotations are unaltered.
FIRE INSURANCES. Chinas have been booked at $90 and more shares are procurable. Hongkongs are easier with sellers at $305 after
a small sale at the rate.
SHIPPING. Hongkong, Canton and Macaos continue on offer at $28. Indo-Chinas have been booked at $82, and close with sellers at $825, China and Manilas are still on offer at $24, and Dougleses at the reduced rate of $34. Star Ferries are procurable at $30 (old) and $18) (new). Shell Transports have been booked at 21/- and 10 and closed with sellers
at the latter rate.
REFINERIES-China Sugars have sold and close steady at $107. Luzons are neglected at $10 sellers.
MINING. No business is reported under this head and quotations aro unchanged.
DOCKS, WHARVES AND GODOWNS.-Hong kong and Whampoa Docks are slightly firmer with sales at $200 and $201, ex the dividend of $6 and bonus of $1 per share for the half- year ending 31st December 1903, paid on the 23rd instant, the market closing with probable buyers at $201 and sellers at $202. Hongkong
and Kowloon Wharves are firm with small sales and further buyers at $95. Farnham Boyds are lower in the north with sellers at Tls, 136.
LANDS, HOTELS, AND BUILDINGS.-Hong kong Lants continue weak with sellers at $149. Kowloon Lands, West Points and Hotels are all procurable at last quotations. Humphreys Estates have declined to $10 with sellers.
Lands Shanghai
are easier in the North at Tls. lil cum the final dividend, and bonus of Tls. 5. per share for 1903' paid in Shanghai on the 24th inst.
