3. The spot where the POSEIDON went down on 9th June 1931, taken from the port quarter of HERMES. Three small boats may be seen between HERMES and a distant submarine. The sea near the three boats is slightly discoloured caused by bubbles of air and oil coming to the surface from the sunken submarine.
