HONGKONG, 6th November 1903.-Though our mari et generally still continues more or less dull, more enquiry has undoubtedly ben met with during the past week for some of the mst favoured iurestent stocks in which a fair to ume of busiuess has been transacted at ruling rates.
BANKS. Hongkong and Shanghais have been booked at the s'ightly improved rate of $624 at which the market clcses firm. London has improved to £62. Nationals are unchanged with bayers at $.81.
MARINE INSURANCES.-Unions are firmer with buyers at 84924 China Traders have been booked at $61, and Cantors at $175. Yooglsz"s and North Chinas hare not attracted mn-b attention, and there stocks close without change.

Hongkong, Canton and Macaos hove again bee booked at $31. ■ few more shares being still available at this rafe. Doug- lases are firmer with buyers at $31.
