SHARE REPORTS. HONGKOFO, February 20th, 1903. --The market has been fairly active since the date of our last report and a fair business has been transacted, chiefly in Fires, Bug.rs, Indos, ard Kowloon Wharves. The remaining stocks have ruled dull with but little business, but rates generally have been fairly well maintained. BANKS.-Emall sales of Hongkongs have been made at 2685 ex div, and further shares could probably be placed at the rate.

Nationals remain unchanged and without business.

MARINE INSURANCES.— Unions have been in request, and with no shares forthcoming the rate rose rapidly to $490, at which rate the market closes firm. North Chinas have been enquired for at the improved rate of Tls. 191, without inducing sales. Other Marines remain unchanged and withont business.

FIRE INSURANCE3.

Hongkong Files changed bands in the early part of the week at $ 86.00 to $130.008320 and later at 8325, finally closing with small 114.00 to 120.00 sales at $ 27. This Company's report just 120.00 to 128.00 issu-d recommends payment of a dividend of 8224 per share, China Fires have been no- | gotiated at 886 and $861, closing steady at the latter rate. This Company's report recommends a dividend of $6 per share.

SHIPPING.Hongkong, Canton and Macaor have ruled very quiet at $36 and $36) with small sales, Indos have lean very erratic with fair ¦ sales at rates between $93 and $102; market closing with sellers at 896. Old Star Ferries are still in request, but none appear to be procurable; whilst a few new shares are obtainable at $14. thell Trai sports have been placed at 30%., but sellers rule the market at the close. Douglases neglected with no sales at $44.

REFINERIES. — China Sugars changed hands in the early part of the week at 8102, and later at 8 03 and 81039, whilst shares have been placed for March at $104 and $105 and for April at $106; market closes quint at $103 e sh and with forward sellers. Luzons remain totally arglcted.

MINING.-Small s·les of Punjoms at the improved rate of $4 and of Raubs at $7 is all we have to report under this heading

DOCKS, WHARVES & Godowns.-Hongkong and Whampoa Dicks have continued very quiet with only small sales at 8206, at which rate more shares are obtainable. Kowloon Wharves have found buyers at 893 $934 and 894 for cash and ut 899 for August. Farahams have advanced to $182) with buyers.

LANDS, Horris & Buildings.—Hongkoug Lands remain negl cted with sollers at $177 and no sales to report. Hongkong Hotels have been on offer all the week at 8143 without in- ducing buyers to come forward. West Points and Humphreys have ben in slight demand with small sales at $52 and $11.25 respectively. COTTON MILLS. ·The northern ompanies show some ch; nges in quotations, but there is no local business to report.

MISCELLANEOUS. Green Islands håre ad- vanced to $214 with sales and buyers. Watsons, new Electrics, China Providents, and Powell bare ebanged bands at quotations. Cigar Co.'s and other stocks and r this heading without change or business.
