BANES-Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Cor- poration-Local sales were made at 390 and 385 per cent, prom, the market closing firm, but with sellers at latter figure. Shares for August settle- ment fetched 400 per cent. prem. INSURANCE. FireMarket quiet. SHIPPING.-Indo-China 8. N. Co-Market has been active during week, and closes with firm rates for cash and time. Numerous cash sales are reported at Tís. 100 and 101. The following settlements were made:- June 101, 98.50 and 101; July 102, 104, 101 and 102; August 103, 104, 103, September 104; Oot. 104, 108.50 and 105. Shell Transport Co.'s shares are offering. MINING. Kaiping Mining shares changed hands in some quantity from Tis. 187.50 to Tls, 200 cash; market closes firm. Settlements were made for 81st inst. at Tls. 192.50 and Tis. 197.50, for June at Tis. 192.50 and Tls. 200, and for July at Tls. 197.60, Tis. 198 and Tis, 202.50. Shares are wanted for July. Raub Mining shares are offering at $24. Docks, WHARVES & GOD- OWNS-Farnham, Boyd & Co., Ld.-Market has been quiet, and only a small business has been done during the week. Green Island Cement shares were sold locally at $21 cash and at $21.25 for July; shares are wanted. Tugs and Cargo BOATS.-Nothing doing. Tugs are in request. MISCELLANEOUS.— Waterworks shares were taken at Tls, 340, and are wanted. Sumatra Tobacco market advanced to Tis. 50 for cash shares, in consequence of good sales of tobacco; market closes firm at this figure. Shanghai Lankat Tobacco Co.-Cash sales are reported up to Tls. 852.50 cash; there are sellers at Tis, 850 to 347.50. June shares were placed at Tls. 355 and September at Tls. 377.50 Hall and Holtz shares sold at $33, and are offering. Debentures.—Waterworks 6 per cent.
