BANKS.-Hongkong and Shanghais have been placed at 355, 353, 352 and 351 per cent. premium for cash and the end of the month, and close quist with probable sellers at 350 per cent. premium. The London rate is wired at £60. 10s. Nationals continue in request at $261.
MARINE INSURANCES.-Unions have ad. vanced in favour and are wanted at $205. China Traders have been placed at $54, a decline of $1 on the week, and have further sellers at the rate. North Chinas have been sold at Tls. 182).

FIRE INSURANCES.—Hongkong Fires have been disposed of at $291, and more can be ob- tained at this figure. China Fires have im- proved a little and have been placed at $77
SHIPPING. Hongkong, Canton and Macaos continued to decline during the earlier part of the week, and sales at $33, $324 and 832 have been effected. A slight recovery has since taken place, and there are buyers now at the last named figure. Indo-Chinas have ruled erratic, sales having been booked at $116, $117, $118, and latterly at $117, the market closing with sellers Cotton Mills:→→→ at $117. On time business has been done at $120 for April and $122 for June China Manilas, old, have declined to 865 sellers, and the new shares to $38, at which rate sales have been effected, the market closing with further buyers. Douglases have been booked and are on offer at $481. Star Ferries, old, are wanted at $21, and the new shares at $7. Of the latter stock a very fair business has been done at quotation and at $6.90.
REFINERIES. Chin Sugars and Luzons have been quite neglected during the interval, and have sellers at $139 and $39 respectively.
MINING.-Punjoms have been placed at $4 and are obtainable at that rate. Raubs have been booked at $42, and at equivalent rates on time, the market closing quiet at $41.
DOCKS, WHARVES AND GODOWNS.-Hong kong and Whampoa Docks have been in fair request, and sales have been effected at advanc- ing rates up to 605 per cent. premium for cash and the end of the month, and at 675 per cent. for April, and 685 per cent. for May. The stock closes steady at quotations. Hongkong and Kowloon Wharves have been placed at 892§. but hate since receded to $92, at which a few shares are obtainable. Wanchais continue in request at $63. New Amoy Docks are obtain- able at $24
LANDS, HOTELS AND BUILDINGS.-Hong- kong Lands have been done in fair parcels at $197, $196 and $195 for cash and the 30th inst., and close with sellers at $196. Kowloon Lands have been placed at $28. West Points at $49 and more ought be got at this figure. Hong- kong Hotels have declined under settlement influences to $124, at which shares are obtainable. Orientes have been placed and have sellers at $80. Humphreys Estates have been negociated in large lots at $124, $12 and $12.15, and close with a few buyers at $124.
COTTON MILLS.-No business to report under this head, the market closing flat at quota. tions.
MISCELLANEOUS.-Green Island Cements have been in good request and have been placed at $20. The stock closes with a few sellers at this figure, but shares are not now so easily obtainable as formerly. Watsons are wanted at $16. Electrics are in the market at quotations. Ropes are quiet at $157. Fen- wicks have been placed and have sellers at $55. Ices are obtainable at $160. Tramways are wanted at $200. Dairy Farms have declined to $7, at which a few shares have changed hands. China Providents have been placed in fair lines at $91, and further shares are to be had at this figure. Watkins have declined and have sellers at $101 ex dividend of $1.20 paid on the 20th instant.
CIGAR SHARES have been placed at quota- tion, and close with sellers of Hensianas at $100 and buyers of Favoritas at $850. :
