THIRD DAY, THURSDAY, 28TH FEBRUARY,
Thursday opened anything but promisingly for the races. It had rained over night and was drizzling more or less all the morning. Consequently the ground was rendered some- what heavy and the attendance of the general public was considerably affected. In the after- noon, however, the sun came out and the at- tendance improved. The band of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers was again in attendance.
