DOOKS, WHARVES, and Godowns.”—Hong- kong and Whampos Dooks have been on offer during the week at 525 per cent, prém. without | bringing any buyers into the market. Kowloon Wharves have changed hands at $86) and $87; closing steady at $864. Wanchala unchanged and without business.
LANDS, HOTELS, and Buildings:-Hong kong Lands continue firm and in favour sales have been affected at $115, 3115, and $116, market closing firm at $116. Hotels after further sales at $119) have found buyers at $120 and $121 and close steady at the latter rate. A demand at about equivalent rates forward has not been mét, West Points have changed hands at $35, $36, and 896), but s | further small demand remains unsatisfied and a higher rate would doubtless be paid for | a limited number of shares. Humphreys con tinue quiet with sellers and sales at $9.15.
MISCELLANEOUS.-Star Ferries have found buyers at $204, Electrics at $10, Watsons at $154, and Ices at $130. Tramways are on. quired for at quotation but none are obtainable, Ropes have improved to $212 with sales. Closing quotations are as follows :-

JOINT STOCK SHARES: HONGKONG, 29th December.-The Christmas holidays have greatly interfered with business,' but rates have remained steady to firm except in Banks, which show a further decline.
BANKS.-Hongkong and Shanghais, partially owing to the approaching settlements, have ruled very weak and sales have been effected at 337, 336, 335, 334, and 333 per cent. premium for cash; market doses, however, firmer at 335 buyers. Nationals unchanged and without business.
MARINE INSURANCES.-China Traders have changed hands to a limited extent at $57 and close with sellers at that rate. Unions and Cantons, also Straits and the Northern Insur- anoes; continue neglected at quotations.
FIRE INSURANCES.-Hongkongs have found buyers at $327; and Chinas at $88 to a small extent.
SHIPPING.-Hongkong, Canton and Macãos have ruled quiet with but a small business at $304, $304, and later at $30. Indos contint neglected at quotations. Douglases have ohange ed hands at $524, closing with sellers at that. China Manilas are obtainable at quotation but without business. China Mutuals preferences are enquired for at £9.15, and £5' paid up at £4.15. REFINERIES.-The market continues dull with no business tó report.
