CANTON, 17th August.—Macao Congous. There has practically been nothing doing during the past month, the few small purchases reported barely aggregating 1,600 borsz. The supply of Macao Tea has never been so small as it is just: now, which fact, together with the few extraucons orders in the market, serves to maintain prices. Scented Cupers. The market has been exceeding quiet during the past month, 11,000 bores only having changed hands during that time, inaking a total to date of 135,000 boxes. Prices have ruled is favour of buyers, and way be sail rough- ly to have d clined Tl. I per picul. Scenting. dower has been remarkably heap and plentiful.

Borkill & Sons Circular).The Home markets are firmier, and Blue Elephants are still quote at: 12/10 in London, bur Gold_Kilings have advanced to Fes, 32ĝin Lyons. Raw Silk.-Al- though the volume of business is not very large this week, yet it has been more general, and prices show a rise. Fine Isatlees are in demand, but holders, are, asking a big advance on their former prices, ・ ・ oarse Silks have fund buyers, and about 360 bales have hanged hands. Yel low Silk is still in good demand, and prices ne very steady. About 2:0 balea ave wen settled. Arrivals, as per Customs Returus, August 12th -to-18th, are: 2,765 balea White. 65+ bales Yellow and 123 bales Wild Silks. Re-re. Is and Hand Filatures. A small business is going on in these for the Lyons market. Steam Filatures are still in, request, and 250/3 bales hive hen setled principally for Lyons; there is a slight demand for America. The Export of Steam Filatures to date is: 1,048 bales to America, 921 Lales to the Continent, and 26 bales to London. Wild Silk -A fair demand bas sprung up and “abont--·100· bales have been settled.
