CHINA OVERLAND TRADE REPORT.
SHANGHAI, 27th August.-(From Messrs. A. K. Į Burkill & Sons' Circular).-According to the latest wires the Londen market was quiet with a firm tendency. Gold Kilings remain unchanged in Lyons at Fcs. 27. Raw Silk-We have had an extremely quiet week, and transactions are on a very small scale; a few hales of Gold Kilings, quoted below, were sold by speculators. Yellow Silk.—A fair business bas been done, as bolders bare made some concessions in price; settlements are about 200 bales. Arrivals, na per Customs eturns, 20th to 24th August, are: 1,508 bales White. 231 bales Yellow, and 86 bales Wild Silks. Re-reels and Filatures-Nothing doing. The Export of Steam Filatures to date is: 667 b.les to the Coatinent, 483 bales to America, and 36 | bales to Eugland. Wild Silk2. —Settlements are chiefly in Tu-ah Raws.
