At the Police Court on 22nd Dec,, Charles Dal- ton. a seaman, was charged with deserting from the British ship Drumelian, and that he, being a number of the crew of the American ship St. Mark, remained ashore after the departure of the said ship. For the first offence he was ordered to be sent on board, and for the second he was sen-
tenced to one month's imprisonment with hard
labour.
