PIECE GOODS 16th December.-(From Mesira. Noel, Murray & Co.'s Piece foods Trade Report) -Money is coining in rapidly and the market, 80 far as that goes, is greatly relieved and much anxiety has been alleviated, but, with the Northern market now elo-ed to trade, it cannot be expe ted that clearances will show any improvement or fresh business of importance entered into from stock. Several re-sales of bankrupt stock, it is true, are reported this week, amounting to sowe 500 packages, bat at prices which cannot be cons dered to fairly represent the market, so we refrain from quoting them. They have certainly had a weakening offct generally, but in times like these every one must work for himself and not stop to consider the common welfare. Otherwise spot transactions have been very circumscribed, as the dealers do not appreciate yet the de:line that has taken place in Exchange, penny, or three per cent, diring the week.
