W. patch the first Tientsin steamers on the morning considerably curtailed at first the native merchants of the 3rd March, and although shipments will be have determind to send goods forward, unless something turns up meanwhile to prevent them The "talkee talked" mentioned last week ended in smoke, the agitation having been promoted by some of the smaller men, who cannot get the $700 with allow'ce of 1 to 2 cts.financial facilities required, and so do not want the others to ship. As there is a fair quantity already in hand awaiting shipment the opening of the Peiho will not lead to mich new business, but clearances will probably be brisker next week.
