IRC WIN CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL TOURNAMENT

In the first two matches of their Hongkong and Macão tour the Keio University Hockey Team from Japan drew 3-3 with Hongkong Selection on Saturday and then defeated Com- bined Civilians 3-2 on Sunday.

Both matches were very interesting. I believe this is the first time that a Japanese team has played in the Colony, but if they continue to play as they have so for their visit will be remembered for a long, long time.

To single out any of them for special praise would be eontrary to the fact that they are essentially a team, in fact one of the fastest and keenest teams I have had the pleasure of seeing in a long time.

Experimental side

The Hongkong Selection was essentially an experimental side. Few had played in previous re- presentative games but some will certainly do so in the future.

Pedruco and Monteiro the two full-backs from Recrelo proved themselves just as fast as the op- position and their covering each other under pressure was excellent. Behind them
