AVRO LINCOLN
Derived from the Lancaster, the Lincoln flew for the first time in June, 1944. The last Lingoln being delivered in April, 1951.
The Lincoln was the last piston-engined aircraft to serve with the Royal Air Force.

On the last Monday of November, we had our first Union Night.
It was a great social event because it was for all the members of the Students' Union - aliTM the undergraduates of the University and some graduates who were members.
The night was rather chilly.
