morning completed their investigations into a Colony clandestine espionage ring when former Assistant Superin- tendent of Police, Mr John Tsang, and four other Chinese men were escorted to Lowu border and deported to China. Mr Tsang, 37, was arrested on a warrant under the Deportation of Aliens Ordinance on Octo- ber 3 and has been detained since at the Chatham-road Camp.
At the time of his arrest he was Deputy Com-
mandant of the Police Training School.
A Government spokesman gave the following
statement to the China Mail today:

"investigation of the John Tsang case has now been
completed.
This case involved espionage, and four men in addition
to Tsang were concerned.
"Their
names were:
Cheung Wa-pan, Chan Chan Pak-shing and Lai Hiu-kwong.

connection with the Hongkong Government.
"No other persons were involved.

Tokyo, Nov. 30. Commercial airline officials tonight said they knew of no con- tamination by radio- active tallout of aircraft flying Pacific air routes.
