PICTORIAL PARADE

The Maloyan Federal Government has placed an order valued at about £1 million with a British firm for six fast patrol craft for the Royal Malayan Navy. This is an artist's impression of the craft. The craft, which are to be built of welded stael, 103 feet overall, will be powered by Bristol Siddeley Maybach diesel engines and will have a top speed of about 25 knots. They will be armed with two Bofors 40 mm guns and will be fitted with Dacco True Mation radar. The craft will aho have Vaspor Roll Damping Fins for stability.
