IS
Frank Sinatra falling off? Recent reports in the English musical magazines seem to in. dicate that The Voice is well past his best.
A wild spate of angry letters to the editor followed the last anti-Frankle report, proving I think that Mr Sinatra is sti a power in the land of song.
When he was in Hongkong, I asked Frank whether he'd changed his style any since the days when he used to have the

He felt that his voice had mellowed and become more flexible. This he said was a оп the great improvement Frankle of earlier years, and while an artist's own opinion of his work should never be the final verdict, on this one least, I'll go along with him. HITS HERE AND THERE DEPARTMENT

SHE'S PAID TO DRAW ON WALLS
田
Pretty as a picture herself, teenager Beatty Evans is paid to draw on walls. She never had any real art lessons in London where the lives, but she has a lot of talent. That is why restaurants pay her to decorate their walls, as she is doing here.
Tunes
:
The Holmes orchestra experi- ments with an old selection of tunes and new techniqhes. Ha- waii provides the inspirational OVELY Joni James con- background for the album; the
tinues to keep her fans tunes speak of soft sands, fra- grant flowers, pineapples and happy with her latest LP— beautiful girls. LeRoy Holmes "More Joni Hits.” dresses his tunes up with a mixed choir of voices, the beat of the bongos and a prominent rhythm section.
There you have it-the works. In addition you'll hear a full string section a four trombone brass section and the vibes, handled by Phil Kraus, which plays lead most of the way.
The choir sings in parts--the girls with the strings and the boys with the brass.
The tunes are those she has recorded previously and which made the hit parade charts in many countries.
There isn't anything outstand- ing about this album, except that the portrait of Joni on the cover is probably the best study we have seen of her yet. She's beautiful!
The record number is: MGM 3885.
